Composer and performer, educator and director, Jim Reith is President of BeatHouse Music and its Composer/Producer. Under Jim's direction, BeatHouse Music has received numerous prestigious awards, including: a place as Clio finalists; national and regional ADDY awards; an International Film & TV Festival award; a Charleston International Film Festival award; Health Marketing first place awards; a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Best award; a Mercury National Radio award; and six Milwaukee Advertising Club first-place awards and a Best of Show award in the same year. Jim's rich experience in the music industry has seen him perform live on stage and record in the studio. For many years he was a versatile performer and writer in the musical comedy team 3½M Company. He sang lead in a nationwide tour with the vocal group New Dawn, has performed The Star Spangled Banner at the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks games, and sang background on Oceans' internationally-released album, Ridin' the Tide. Jim performed duets on the internationally-distributed album Tonya Rae and on the locally-aired single Give to the Children, the theme song for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC). Beyond his work as a performer, Jim is a successful producer of many recording projects. He co-produced Oceans' debut album Second Chance (Pro-Jazz) and co-produced their follow-up album Ridin' the Tide (Pro-Jazz), which reached number four on the Billboard jazz charts. He traveled to Nashville to produce country music artist Jim Hudson's album, Bring Back the Thunder, six of whose songs, including the title cut, he co-wrote. Most recently, he produced and engineered the album Tonya Rae, which climbed as high as number four on the European charts based on all reporting stations across the continent. Jim also has to his credit a number of compositions that are currently published by Maypop Music, Aaron Brown Publishing, and Welk Music. He scored, together with Warren Wiegratz, the television movie Dreamweaver and the motion picture Lady Mary, which won the gold and bronze awards at the Charleston International Film Festival. And he both scored and produced the music to the documentary film Cross Country Hitch, released by Reiman Publications. Aside from his professional work, Jim has traveled several times to Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia to teach seminars on using music and the arts in Christian ministry. He has served for many years as music director for a local church and as director of a local high school music and arts ministry, The Alternative.
